I was one of the first pupils who left Greenhill school to attend a new modern school called Marlborough Hill back in the 60s. I know that the head master at the time was Mr Picture. I am now 51 but still have fond memories of both Greenhill School and Marlborough. Mr Picture used to take lots of film with his camera and I understand that some of the films may be available. Does it still exist I wonder? I now live in France.

Hi Marie, just wanted to say thanks for the updates from the Year 7 French trip. Sounds like they're having a fantastic time. Morgan's little sis', Isobel, was very upset when Morgan left home early monday morning so it's been great to receive the latest from Francais to find out what they've been up to. Can't wait for Morgan to get home though and unpack the camembert and bonbons!!

Over the summer holidays I will be working hard, updating the website with all the pictures of the events over recent weeks, so please be patient with me! It has been really busy in the office, with a member of staff absent for the whole of the last half term, and I am doing my best to keep up with everything! Ok, in response to your questions Nikhita I haven't had a chance to upload sports day, summer fair etc pictures because it is just so manic in the office at the moment, what with the graduation ball, graduation book, finalising the school accounts, sorting out PGL trips etc to organise, to name just a few things! BUT, during the holidays I will be working really hard uploading all sorts of pictures including the mini-olympics, jump-rope-for-heart, sports day, year 7 graduation, year 5 clay lane, etc etc and other more 'academic' stuff! So keep logging in! Also, I have to be careful not to upload pictures of children whose parents don't want their photos uploaded. Other than that I upload most, if not all, of the pictures that get taken. Hope that answers your questions.

I think that this website is realy good and i think that mrs roberts has spent a lot of her time trying to make this wesite the best that it could be so people would take time to have a look at it because it shows parents or freind or family how our school is and what we do in school

i also think that there should be pictures of different children at pgl and some of the other teachers have pictures they took at pgl. Other than that the website is awesome!

I like nikhitas idea but it might not work because some parents do not want their child to be in the picture however i have an idea how about we give out permission slips and whoever is not allowed has to sit out while the rest of class has their picture taken

Nikhita, I think that is a lovely suggestion. Unfortunately tho, some parents do not want their child's photo to be uploaded to the website, so that prevents me from doing that. What I might be able to do tho, is 'blur out' their image so that the rest of the class will still be able to be displayed. I will talk to Mr McDermott and Mrs Ross to get their views. Thank you for your comments though!

Like you I would also like to express thanks to the staff who are supervising the children on the trip for their tireless efforts in making sure they have fun, keeping them safe, and keeping in touch with us! Having been a member of the French Trip staff in 2005 I know what a responsibility it is!

In response to your question, Sara, I will speak to Mr Woodhouse about the itinerary etc and get this information uploaded before the trip if I can. During the trip Mr Woodhouse will be in touch with me and I will put daily updates of what you are all getting up to on the website, so that your parents can check out what's going on while you are away. Photos of the trip will be uploaded as soon as I get them. Hope that helps.

I like the school website because it has lots of information about the school, and the school has now gone upwards and has improved recently. Also thanks to Mr Mc Dermott and the staff.
