On Wednesday morning a group of Year 6 children, accompanied by Ms Bloxham, Mrs Tighe, Mrs Ahtti, Mrs Samar and Mr Kirtley, left school to go to Surrey for a 3-day residential trip. Click here to see where they are going! Below is our first batch of photos.

At 11.30am on Wednesday 25th March we had a phone call from Mr Kirtley to tell us they had arrived safely, and were settling into their accommodation. Further details to follow as we get them . . . . 9.45pm Wednesday evening - Mrs Samar contacted me to say that the children were having a great time, they were all really tired and had all gone to bed! The staff will be following them shortly since they, too, are exhausted! Thursday 26th March - 9.15am - Miss Bloxham left a message saying that the activities are really good and that the children's behaviour is outstanding, although they were a little noisy during the night! 11.30am - Mrs Tighe called to say that the children had all completed their 'muddy' tasks and were all showering, even though they all got caught in a hail storm. After lunch they will be tackling the 'zip wire' and other groups will be 'fencing'. Everybody is having a great time, eating lots of good food and really enjoying themselves. 10pm - Thursday evening - Mrs Samar called to say that they had all had another action packed day, ending with a fabulous disco which everyone enjoyed. Apparently the children are loving it so much that they don't want to go home! 12 midday update - The coach will be leaving at 1.45pm this afternoon - they are expected to arrive back at school around 4.30ish. 3.30pm - they have just turned on to the M25 at Thorpe Park - traffic jams - expect to be back at 4.30ish still. WELCOME BACK EVERYONE! <

Post show Review - Murder at the Manor
A team of 'actors' performed a play, written and donated to the school by Chris McDermott, Headteacher, to a crowd of parents and friends. Great fun was had by all and the Friends of Marlborough raised nearly £500 from the event. It was a really good evening, and one we hope to do again!
Thank you to those of you who came and supported the event, to our actors and, of course, to Mr McDermott for donating the play to the school.

16th March 2008
For the first time ever, we decided to have a whole school photograph taken, to celebrate Marlborough's 40th Birthday. It was no mean feat getting everyone organsed, but under the leadership of the main photographer, it went really smoothly. Have a look at the pictures below to see how it was done!

Our Mothers' Day Cake Sale is always a huge success, and this year's was no exception. The Friends of Marlborough raised over £700 with the generosity and support of our parents and children. Thank you very much!

Whilst the Middle School children enjoyed their end of term disco, Peter Pinner, a local entertainer (and a former pupil of Mrs Ross!), entertained the First School children with a hilarious show that involved magic tricks, balloon making, wilting flowers and much, much more.
